Taco Casserole

Gather the Goods

1 lb hamburger meat
1 bag Fritos
1 can Rotel
1 can chili beans
1 can enchilada sauce
1 can green chilis
2 oz cream cheese
1 cup chopped onion
Shredded Mexican cheese

I said cooook iiiiit

Brown yo meat first.. Uh yea duh.. Isn’t this how most meals start?

Drain meat then mix everything together (but shredded cheese)

Layer in casserole dish in this order… Fritos, meat mixture, cheese.

Repeat the layers.

Pop that sucka in the oven. 350 for 20.

Take it out & enjoy your creation.

  3. I made this exactly how it was shown. It was good, but a little bland for my taste. I’m not saying it wasn’t good…please don’t take it that way! I honed it to my liking.
    Instead of regular Fritos…I used chili cheese. After Browning the burger…I added 1Tbs. Cumin…1Tbs. Chili powder…1/2 tsp red pepper flakes…1/2 tsp pepper…1/4 tsp salt…1tsp garlic powder and mixed well. When I did it this way the flavors were outstanding!

  4. This is a good recipe a couple ways to jazz it up a bit add some rotel, and yes some of those spices to taste. When finished top with some black olives and green onion for that bit of freshness. Oh and fyi this how I remember how to spell the chile’s- i’m making chili with red and green chile because it’s chilly outside. I was born and raised in new mexico.. again good recipe.
