Mad Knitter’s Tea Party

My bar is my favorite thing to decorate! We moved all the bar stools outside for people to sit on & so they wouldn’t cover up the pretty decorations!

I wanted everything to have that Mad Hatter’s Tea Party feel…but with a vintage vibe. I also wanted to integrate the knitting theme throughout….so I had as many knitted items as I could find and yarn within the decor.

Like I said…the runner is an old blanket my mom never finished. Every tea cup/saucer/tea pot/ect and random old looking flowers came from Goodwill, antique store, or a flea market.

I designed the Hershey Miniatures wrappers, printed, & glued them on myself. The little Eat Me & Drink Me tags throughout I found an image online & printed.

I was so excited when I saw these little knitted tea bags! SO adorable!  I had this lady on Etsy make them for me…you can find her HERE.

This sweet little rabbit also came from Goodwill for $1 and already had the pearls on it just like that!

IMG_0122

I made this little house of cards by hot gluing them together.

I had to purchase the knitted items from several different sellers on Etsy to get everything in time. The pink and yellow cookies below came from HERE.

This super cute confetti cupcake came from HERE.

This candelabra I also picked up from Goodwill and then grabbed some 75 cent candles from Family Dollar. I just wrapped some flowers around it that I found at another Goodwill.

I love creative cookies & cakes. For this party I decided on cookies and allll kinds of assorted desserts. I had my cookie lady FOUND HERE make me tea cups, tea pots, knitting needles, balls of yarn, and cupcakes.

The chocolate covered REAL strawberries, cupcakes, & pie came from Brookshires. The knitted chocolate covered strawberries and heart cookies are from this seller on Etsy. The dessert stand they are on I found in an antique shop.

The cake & pie slices are from the same seller on Etsy that made the roses. Chocolate covered cheesecake from Brookshires.

Cookies are from Brookshires. The marshmallow puffs in the middle are Little Debbie snacks. And the cute little tea cup came from my cookie lady. I actually bought a tea cup and tea pot cookie cutter off Etsy (HERE) for her to use.  The knitted cookies are from this Etsy seller.

Some of the yarn I decorated with I snagged from my mom’s house and some like the brown and blue below I found 70% off in a DIY scarf kit at Dollar General! Score!

The little knitted tea cup came from Etsy HERE. This is the only tea pot we already had… I took it from my mom’s house. I actually think I had it sent to her with flowers in it one Mother’s Day.

I also got the old books & this weird wicker elephant with flowers from Goodwill.
